Layton promises fund for granny suites:


NDP Leader Jack Layton promised on a fund to help families build granny suites for aging parents.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper was also verbally criticized over the Bruce Carson Affair while Layton was at the North End YMCA-YWCA for his announcement.
  • A loan program called The Inter-generational Home Forgivable is to help families cover half the cost to create a self-contained suite for aging parents. Layton claims that it would help create 200 000 granny suites across Canada.
  • There is also a video a video attached of Layton in Winnipeg, promoting himself.
